Hello Everyone!
PRAISE THE LORD THE REPORTS ARE DONE!! It was a long and tiring task to get all 28 reports done. In total, we wrote about 300 some pages. It was well worth it though. We enjoyed it, but we are glad that they are done. We finished yesterday right before Mike Weaver (IMB missionary) left for Atlanta for stateside assignment. He had to take them with him to promote adoptions. If anyone is interested in knowing more about the REAP South ministry and the part that I played in it this summer and last summer, send me an email at josuesarco7@hotmail.com. Now we are just hanging out in Lima before we all fly out. Keep praying for us. Re-adjustment back to the USA is always hard for me and we all 3 know that it is going to be hard for us and to leave each other also.
BIG PRAYER REQUEST!
Ok, so my mom is having partial historectomy surgery tomorrow and today she goes in for pre-op. Please pray for her and her health. Also, please pray for my grandmother (my moms mom). She is not doing well and no longer has control of her bodily functions. Also, pray for encouragement for all of my family during these times and with what has all passed.
Thank you all for your prayers! They are greatly appreciated. May the Lord bless you all!

Returned to Lima
Hello Everyone! Hola a Todos!
Well, after a difficult time trying to get to Huanca Sancos, the Lord gave us peace about not going. It was hard for us three (my team and I) to accept that we could not get to our last leg of research. We all wanted so bad to finish all of our assignment, but it just wasn't possible with all the strikes occuring. Nevertheless, we have 28 villages to write reports on. We are thankful for that! The Lord has worked so mightly this entire summer. Through the heart ache, cold, pain, cacti, weird food, loving people, awkward people and well, just imagine the other things, this summer has been amazing and the Lord has taught me so much more about myself, about people and about only trusting in Him.
Thank you all for your many prayers! Continue to pray for us to be able to get all of our reports finished in time.

28 down 3 to go!
Hello Everyone! Hola a Todos!
Well, let's just say that our God is Amazing! We were able to research 7 villages in 4 days with the help of the Barnabus team. God opened up all kinds of doors. Peru is in a state of strikes and road strikes, so it has been difficult to research with everyone refusing to work. Please continue to pray for that here in Peru. Nonetheless, we have been able to get all the information we needed plus more because our God is WOW! Lol...we are now in Nazca and will be in Huanca Sancos tomorrow night sometime if all goes as planned. Not sure how well that will turn out.
We got another official document from the Mayor in Lucanas to give to the mayor in Huanca Sancos. Again, he stated that he gave us all authority over his province and recommends that the mayor in Huanca Sancos does the same thing. We feel so important.
Continue to pray for the people in the district of Huanca Sancos and for our safety. We are excited to see what the Lord is going to do in these last few days we have researching.

Wow how the Lord works!
Hello Everyone! Hola a Todos!
I hope and pray that this email finds you all doing super well!
So, I have a lot to write about it seems. Get ready to laugh because as usual, life on the research team is always filled with laughter and funny things happening.
We were able to get on a bus from Nazca around 12:30am to get to Puquio. They kept telling us that the bus could come from 10:30pm till 2:00am. So we had no clue what was going on. Finally one came! Praise the Lord! After a horrible 3 hours of bus ride...our research notebook somehow came out of the bag we had it in and went all over the bus. Thank God we were able to find every page. It was the entire summer's research information. We got kind of scared when we saw what happened. That poor notebook has had it. Then, my fash wash bottle thing...exploded. Not sure why it waited until this far into the summer to do so. SO much stuff was well, coated in fash wash. We arrived to Puquio at 3:30am in the morning. We went around for 2 hours trying to find a place to sleep. Either the people didnt want to get out of bed or they didnt have rooms. We chose to go to this one place last because we stayed there last time we were in Puquio and the guy tried to rip us off and we did not end on good terms with him. So, we go there. He tells us that if we check in at that time, then we have to pay for two nights. BUT, if we wait until 8 something then we just have to pay for one night. We really are hating this town at this point. I am not even going to try and lie and say that we enjoy being here. He told us to go wait in the Municipal building until then. We went there and walked in. We found an empty room and just went in there to chill. (Remember...IT IS FREEZING!!) I go to close the door to help keep the cold out and there right infront of me is an attack dog! I freaked out as it was drooling and grawling and all. It was huge too. I slam the door shut and the dog is trying to get through the door. There was a person outside sweeping the steps and this didnt fase him at all. He sees Jenna and asked her if something was wrong. In a high piched voice she said, "Um...hay un perro...mas grande ... um...all." Haha...I just started laughing. (remember it is like 5:30am and we are delirious) It took me a while to quit laughing. THe dog finally left and we were able to get out. THen it started to chase us and the guy sweeping decides to control the dog then. Well, we were able to find somewhere to just put our things down and rest. Jenna and Sarah were so sick. They get motion sick really easy and after the day befores travel. Wow! We got up and went to the place where the guy told us to come back at 8 and found out that he gave our room away. We had to wait until 3 to get one. We were honestly...Not happy.
We get some sleep and then the Barnabus team arrived and we went to have some amazing chicken. We rested that night and decided to just go to bed. Steve and I had to find a room because there were not any more at the place the girls were at. He gave another one away. Well, today we wake up and Steve and I go to get tickets to go to one of our villages...San Pedro and find out about more Huelga action (this means strike) So, the lady told us to come back around 11 or after to get tickets when the combi leaves at 12. It was 10:30am then. So we both had the feeling that there were not going to be 6 seats. WEll, we decide to just research Puquio today. THat was an amazing thing because GOd had so much lined up for us.
We go to the Municipal building and ask for the mayor. As always, he was on a trip and so we were able to speak with the Atiende. THis is the person that stands in when the mayor is gone. He was not from there so he went and got another guy for us. HE was so nice. He was giving us the hook up on information. There are 20,000 people here! He is also going to have the Atiende, who we spoke with about the situation, line up transportation for us to the rest of the villages we have to go to. He gave us official documents signed from the Atiende. And, he is going to contact the mayors in all of those villages and have them have a place for us all to sleep and meetings set up to research there town. God is so AMAZING!!! Gosh, He truly rocked ours socks off today.!!.
In the morning, we leave at 5am to go research Santa Lucia, Saisa, San Cristobal and San Juan. We are doing it in two days because the Atiende said that is the only way we could do it. We trust his judgement. Please pray for us as we travel and for the villages as well.
Another thing we found out is about the Paros and Huelgas. The creative ministry team traveled to Puquio tonight and we went to pick them up at the bus station. We are having a great time together. Good times! Lindsay, the leader of the team, contacted me yesterday to tell me that they need to go to Cusco. So we all went and asked around to see which buses go to Cusco. We found out that only Palomino goes there from Puquio. WE also found out because of the Paro and Huelgas, there are not going to be any that go that direction for a while. So now the Creative ministry team is sort of stuck. They will go to Nazca tomorrow night and then look for a bus that can take them to Puno. We are hoping the Huelgas and Paros stop. THey have been such a pain as well with researching because most Saluds and Schools are closed due to the Huelgas. So we cant go visit those places and find out informaion from them. BUT, the Lord has been so merciful and we have been able to get all the information we need.

Travel Update - On the move!
Hello Everyone! Hola a Todos!
So, we got to Huanca Sancos and wow was that a Long ride. I had a Quechua lady all up in my business. Imagine the smell...wow. Yep..The Lord is good!
We decided to go on to our next leg of villages (4) and then return to research the other three with the Barnabus team. We were able to research all the villages with Great Success! THe Lord placed people before us and took such good care of us all! We had to do a couple in the same day due to the fact that there are only taxi's that run in that area.
Funny Story: We were on the way to our last village to research...I was cramped in the back with a doctor from a previous village we had researched. God was saying...talk to him about me! I told God, "God, my junk is all up in this guys personal space and we barley have room to breath, much less talk!" Well, God kept on at my heart for a while. I still refused. I mean, it was just an awkward situation already. Suddenly, this guy starts talking to me. I am thinking, "this is awkward". To my supprise, he jumped right into Jesus. I was like..."WOW". Come to find out. He is a christian and the church he attends when he is in Lima is a carasmatic catholic church. He was telling me how good Jesus is and all of his favorite Bible verses were. He pulled out his bible and we began to have church. WEll, he had to get off aventually, so we asked him if he had anything that he wanted us to pray for him about. He told us to pray for his work (He got an offer in Lima-big Deal!) and for his girlfriend. They want to get married. His name is Jesus. That was kind of Ironic! Well, I learned that no matter what the circumstance, I can still talk about Jesus. Even if you are stuck in the back of a taxi and you business is all up in someone elses business.
We are now in Nazca again. We found out as we were going to an anex to catch another village to head back to Huanca Sancos, that there might not be one. There was no place to stay, so the driver suggested to continue down about another 45 minutes to Palpa (a town on the pan american) and wait there. We decided to go on to Nazca (30 minutes away) and head on to Puquio. WE are getting on a bus at 12:30am and will arrive around 4am. We seem to always get the EARLY or LATE routes. Oh well...the Lord is still good!
Continue to pray for my team and I. We have 9 villages left to research and then we will be back in Lima to write up our reports from this summer and make advocacy books for the regions we researched.
Also please continue to pray for the Lords direction in my life for next semester. I want to accept the amazing offer that I received from Mike Weaver (IMB missionary), but I still havn't felt the Lord's GO on it yet. I have also not received any more word about support as of yet.

Family Update/Prayer Update/Travel Update
Hello Everyone!
Family Update - I just received word that my mother will be having a partial historectomy at the end of this month. As far as I have been told, everything is ok, but as good as to be expected considering the fact that she needs surgery. You ladies can understand why. Guys, ask your mom or your wife. I don't want to go into detail. I am sure you all appreciate that. ;) The other family update is my grandmother. I know I have been going back and forth with she is fine, she is sick, she is fine again, but here is the real story i just found out. My grandmother has passed into the dementia stage and so much that she has passed beyond the half way mark. Her mind is telling her that she already ate and that she is not hungry. Her thyroid is not right and her blood count/level is off. She returns to the doctor on Monday for a check-up to see what to do next and how things are. Her husband, my grandfather, is also loosing weight and his health is suffering due to him taking care of my grandmother. My dads leg is healing properly. My sister's broke arm/wrist is also healing properly. So, praise the Lord on that!
Prayer Update - Continue to pray for my family of course. Pray for the pain my mother is experiencing to vanish. Also pray that her surgery goes well at the end of the month. And that she will make it until then without any problems. Please continue to pray for my grandmother. I have no clue what to ask for pray about, but just that the Lord works and His will is done. I would love for her to be around for a lot longer. And it is hard thinking of the possibilities. Praise the Lord that He has given me an amazing Peace about whatever happens. I am not freaking out anymore and the Lord has calmed my spirit. I do feel as if I should be freaking out, but now I know that the Lord is and has been working. Continue to pray for healing with my fathers leg and my sisters arm/wrist. Also continue to pray for the Lord's direction in my life. People have already mentioned that they would help support if the Lord leads me to return to Peru. Not enough for me to return yet, but I am confident that if He wants me to go, then it will come. One lady mentioned to me that she is unable to go on missions but wants to joyfully give towards missions. That really touched my heart. She didn't give an estimate, but just her willingness to help someone she doesn't even know, blessed my heart. I can tell the Lord is moving and it excites me to know that I have no clue what He is doing, but He sure does!
Travel Update - Tomorrow we have to rise at 3am to catch our combi to Huancasancos. We were told it is a 12 hour ride. Lord, we pray not. Jenna gets motion sickness easy and well, 12 hours in a combi is like being in a can for that many hours. Not much room at all. So, please pray for us. We were also told that the village we are going to next is a very poor province. There is not much food. So, we have went to the local grocery store here in Ayacucho and bought many things such as bread, jelly, dried fruits (banana) and peanuts. We have also bought yogurt and peanuts. So, we are good if we have to fast for a little while. We are also confident that the Lord will take good care of us!

Stuck
Hello Everyone!
So...don't forget to read the blog below this one.
I also wanted to let you all know that my team and I are stuck in a village until Thursday. Upon arriving yesterday to Ayacucho City after a long and eventful overnight bus ride, we found out that a "Paro" was about to start. This word means "road strike". There has not been and wont be any form of vehicle movement until thursday morning. (they say) So, we are stuck in a (really nice) village until we can get out to continue research. God is so good because we can now write all of our reports and get them prepared to be printed once we arrive back in Lima.
Don't worry, although they are rioting, we are not in any form of danger. We just stay inside and write basically all day. And of course we go out to grab so food once in a while.
Please pray that everything will end smoothly and we will be able to get back on the road.

God and His Curve Ball
I received an awesome e-mail from one of the missionaries here in Peru. (Mike Weaver) ANd this is what he had to say to me. Really hit home ;)
Do you like baseball? Well, how do you hit a curve? I hope you would say, "be patient and wait on it to straighten out" and then "step into it making full contact with all I have". After reading your blog I want you to begin to believe the Lord for something which might seem like "God pitching you a curve". Be patient....wait...let it come to you...step by faith into what He delivers! Make sure that it is a strike though (from Him).
This really made sense to me and I believe it with all my heart. He went on to invite me to return back to Peru next semester and serve on an ESL (English as a Second Language) team. Wow...the Lord knows that I would love to return to Peru and serve Him in any fashion He sees fit. It honestly does feel like home here to me. I am taking his invitation and bathing it in prayer.
One of the main obstacle's I see is the financial support part of it. I do not have any of the support in order for me to live in Peru from the end of August until the end of December. It's quite a large sum of money. I don't know or see how I can raise that in a little over a month and being in Peru while doing it. I do have a peace that if the Lord leads me to go, He will provide the finances.
The other obstacle is schooling. I have felt the Lord's leading in registering for classes for next semester. Which, I have already done and it is such a knock off my shoulders. All of the classes that I have registered for, I can take online via my schools virtual college program. So now, school is not an obstacle because I can take classes over the internet. And the best part is that my schooling is paid for!
I am still praying and sitting in that waiting room for God to come out and say something. So far, Peru has jumped out and that is an open door that I would love to enter if the Lord provides. You know...I am beginning to enjoy the waiting because God nurtures the heart in such and amazing way during the waiting process. God may decide to keep me in Miami. I am perfectly fine with that. I just want what He wants. First and foremost.
If anyone has any ideas, thoughts or concerns about raising support and or "the waiting room", I would love to hear them.

Do you like baseball? Well, how do you hit a curve? I hope you would say, "be patient and wait on it to straighten out" and then "step into it making full contact with all I have". After reading your blog I want you to begin to believe the Lord for something which might seem like "God pitching you a curve". Be patient....wait...let it come to you...step by faith into what He delivers! Make sure that it is a strike though (from Him).

On the move again
Hello everyone!
So after a week in the touristy town of Nazca for our Reapsouth Mid-Summer Debriefing, we are waiting until 11:00pm to head back to Ayacucho city (where we started off our research). We have to go there to get to our next cluster of villages to research.
Praise the Lord for an amazing time we had in Nazca with all the other 50 some college missionaries. We got to spend time in the word, in song, fellowship, eat good food and just relax. The best part was...ENGLISH! Yay! Now don't get me wrong, I love Spanish, but there is just something about doing all those things in your own heart language. It was also amazing to see the Weaver's and the Austin's again. THose are the two missionary families here in Lima, Peru. Both families treat us all like there own and take such good care of us. THey are such a blessing!
So some prayer requests:
1) Continue to pray for my grandmother. She is not in the hospital, but when I called her this past week, she was very disoriented and could not answer my questions. The doctors are getting her medication worked out and her body just needs time to rest and work itself out. God is really teaching me how to trust in Him and increase my prayer life.
2) Well, my family has been on a braking and injuring rampage. Within this past few months, my brother has split his skull at work, my brother and sister have broken there fingers, my dad has torn something in his knee and had surgery and I just found out that my little sister broke her wrist. So...please pray for there safety, protection and health.
3) As is obvious, Satan is not happy. Ever since God called my family into the ministry, Satan has tried to stop everything. Please pray against the enemy and for relief. My mother (I can imagine) is pretty stressed having to be the one who takes care of things. (everyone else is immobile)
4) Have you ever been in the situation where you know the Lord is working, but you also know that you are in the waiting room not knowing anything? Well, I am in the waiting room right now. Honestly, it is driving me nuts. Again, the Lord is increasing my prayer life. I feel a peace about registering for classes in the fall in Miami. However, I don't have a peace about returning to the ministry I am a part of there. I don't know why, but God hasn't given me that peace. I know that if the Lord doesn't somehow show or tell me where I am suppose to be, then I will definitley be back in Miami. The Lord knows that I cannot function if I am not somehow serving Him in active ministry. My heart would love to return to Peru for whatever time the Lord desires, but all I know now is that I do not have the finances to support myself in returning. So, please pray for me as I am praying for myself about what the Lord would have me to do. The great thing is that I have a peace about whatever the Lord will have me do. Is that weird? I just know He is in control and whatever He decides for me to do will be amazing. It may take me a while to learn that it is amazing, but He will NEver leave me or forsake me. Gosh...that was a long prayer request. THank you for reading this...I know it is long.
